Expressions of Greater Simonsberg, Stellenbosch Valley and Bottelary Hills at Taj, Cape Town
As we continue our journey through the world’s most beautiful winelands we showcase the wines of Greater Simonsberg, Stellenbosch Valley & Bottelary Hills and the ‘bistro chic’ from this month’s guest chef, Christiaan Campbell from the Delaire Graff restaurant. Christiaan captures the diversity in culture with his ability to translate his guest’s needs into a menu which is poignant in its fulfilment of meeting his guest’s wishes. He does this by taking inspiration from all around him, like the available ingredients and the variety of skills of the staff on hand.
This coming month’s Expressions menu will be launched on Thursday 26th April at our wine & dine with the winemakers and available thereafter on our MINT restaurant Table d’Hôte dinner menu for the month of April. 2 courses @ R175, 3 courses @ R210 excluding paired wines which are available by the glass.
A limited number of places are available on our Expressions of.. launch evenings which take place on the last Thursday of the month. These evenings begin at 18h00 with a private wine tasting and are followed at 19h00 for 19h30 with a 4-course dinner with paired wines. Priced at R350 per person including mineral water and parking in Mandela Rhodes Place.

Wednesday wine tastings
We would like to extend an open invitation for you to join us on a Wednesday evening between 17h00 – 20h00 in the hotel lobby to taste a selection of regional wines and meet the people who created them. Wines featured on the night will be available for off-consumption purchase at Cellar Door prices through our newly opened wine kiosk which is open seven days a week!
