Jordan Wine Estate is delighted to announce its success at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2012. The competition is widely recognised as the world’s biggest wine competition and is one of the most prestigious and trusted wine awards internationally. Topping off a fantastic year already for the multi-award-winning wine estate in Stellenbosch, Jordan received 6 medals, including Gold for its 2010 Jordan Nine Yards Chardonnay and the Trophy for South African Chardonnay Over £10 and Silver medals for the 2008 Jordan Cobblers Hill Red Bordeaux Blend and 2010 Jordan Barrel Fermented Chardonnay. In addition, the estate was awarded medals for the 2009 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon, 2011
Jordan Chenin Blanc and the 2010 Jordan Outlier Sauvignon Blanc.

Gary Jordan, co-owner of Jordan Wine Estate comments:

“Celebrating our 20th vintage on the estate this year, the Jordan team is pleased that the consistent quality across our entire range of red and white wines is being rewarded at such a well-respected international competition. Our family-owned estate has grown from strength-to-strength over the years, since my Dad, Ted Jordan planted the first vines 30 years ago.”

Judges for the Decanter World Wine Awards include some of the most experienced and respected international wine experts. The wines are tasted blind up to 4 times by over 200 wine merchants, sommeliers, journalists and authors, including 54 Masters of Wine and 11 Master Sommeliers.
