110% Green Campaign

Solms-Delta has recently joined the 110% Green campaign in support of the Western Cape’s intent to position itself as the Green Economic Hub of South Africa. The official launch of the 110% Green Campaign took place on June 5th – World Environment Day. By joining this campaign we have committed ourselves to lead by example and roll out flagship projects that support the growth of the green economy.

A waste recycling programme is currently in the process of being implemented on the farm to reduce the amount of waste we send to the general landfill site, create jobs, educate our employees and residents about caring for the environment and preserve our natural resources. We have also started our very own “worm farm” to degrade our organic waste, which we then use as compost to fertilize and put nutrition back into the soil.
