An Elegant Pairing
Despite Friday’s weather threatening to keep many indoors, Creation Wines and the One&Only hotel had devised an event that would tempt a good number of guests out of their homes and into the Ballroom of the hotel to experience an evening of elegance, food, wine and information.
After weeks of planning and frequent trips between Hermanus and the Waterfront the event was finally upon us and Riedel glasses in the boot, Carolyn, Salome, winemaker JC, Dieter and myself descended on the plush One&Only hotel eager to welcome our guests and introduce them to Creation Wines. After a final tasting with Chef Garth and some last minute tweaking, us ladies were off to get ready. Carolyn’s animal-print dress paired with leggings unleashed her foxy spirit while my red-headed colleague Salome wowed the audience in an elegant full-length red dress. Neo, the clothing store in the hotel run by Stewart Mugwiji, was kind enough to dress me in a fabulous Black Coffee dress – très chic! JC found the whole production hilarious, but girls will be girls.
