Half a million dollars for a whiskey
The most expensive whiskey to ever be bought at auction has been sold for a jaw dropping $460,000, according to finedininglovers.com.
The 64-year-old single malt was sold in 2010 but has just officially recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The whiskey was produced by the Maccallan distillery which dates back to 1824. Macallan is a famous distillery and known for its high quality single malt blends.
All the proceeds from the auction were donated to charity. There is no information on who actually bought the bottle.
