Guests at this year’s Nederburg Auction Preview Tasting event are in for a gastronomic treat thanks to celebrity chef Pete Goffe-Wood, who will help create the lunch menu for the day, tailoring it around this year’s theme – Discover your Senses.

This acclaimed food alchemist, widely known for his role as a judge on the reality cooking show MasterChef SA, will play culinary host to top local trade, wine and business media on 1 August at Nederburg in Paarl. Pete says: “I’m flattered to be part of this prestigious event, and with such a delicious sensory theme, look forward to helping the team create some ‘masterchef magic’ for guests.”

Nederburg Auction’s business manager, Dalene Steyn, is delighted to have Pete involved. “Considering that Nederburg is also a sponsor of Masterchef SA, it seemed only natural that Pete should also be a part of the Auction! We are very pleased that a chef of his stature and calibre will becreating the Tasting menu.”

The Auction Preview Tasting will highlight approximately 50 wines from this year’s complete Auction line-up, the format of which will be a tutored tasting for guests, led by Dave Hughes.
