Leonardo DiCaprio stars in Jim Beam ad

Leonardo DiCaprio has made a smooth new advert for Jim Beam Bourbon, which will air only in Asia.

The Hollywood actor is shown carving a perfectly circular ice ball in the 17-second advert that has become a big hit on Youtube. Having carved the ball he spins it over a rocks glass before snapping his fingers, which breaks the ball magically into crushed ice.

Looking into the camera holding a bottle of Jim Beam white label, he says simply: “Cool Bourbon. Jim Beam”.

The use of a star such as DiCaprio in an Asia-only TV advert is seen as an attempt by Beam to promote Jim Beam as a premium Bourbon in a country where brown spirits are continuously gaining momentum.
