Celebrate the white wine season at the 2013 Season of Sauvignon Festival

What better way to celebrate the coming of Spring than with a chilled glass of crisp Sauvignon Blanc! The 8th annual Season of Sauvignon festival in the Durbanville Wine Valley signals the start of the white wine season with a jubilant weekend long celebration, taking place on 5 and 6 October 2013.

The festival is dedicated to all things Sauvignon blanc, and there is whole lot going down at the 11 participating wineries. The valley’s finest chefs will make sure that no one goes hungry while the winemakers will ensure that your glass stay full.

The participating wineries include De Grendal, Diemersdal, Nitida, Hillcrest, Durbanville Hill, Klein Roosboom, Meerendal, Bloemendal, Altydgedacht, Phizante Kraal and D’Aria. Entry is free and wine tasting fees vary from farm to farm.

With Simonsberg as the festival’s official cheese partner, the bliss of good food and wine will be celebrated in a convivial atmosphere and beautiful country surroundings – a mere 20 minutes from the city centre.

Keep things responsible by making use of the Protea Hotel in Durbanville’s special offer – Only R799.00 per room (maximum 2 people). To make your reservation, please contact the hotel directly on 021 913 9256 or reservations@phdurbanville.com.

Bring your friends and family and soak in the beauty of the spring countryside along with the regions signature style Sauvignon Blancs!
