US chain adds boozy wine shakes to menu

Fancy a milkshake spiked with moscato? US restaurant chain, Red Robin seems to think you will.

The family restaurant chain has introduced the ‘Wine Shake’ to its menu as a more sophisticated alternative to its ‘O’Fest Beer Shake’, which was successfully launched two years ago.

The chain has recently commenced selling the Mango Moscato Wine Shake which consists of wine, vodka, mango puree and vanilla soft serve at each of its national locations, USA Today reports.

The move has attracted criticism from community watchdog group Alcohol Justice, who state that the boozy shake is ‘alcohol on training wheels’.
