On Women’s Day on Thursday 9 August, take the women in your life – your wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, best friend or colleague – to a special breakfast talk at Solms-Delta wine estate.

Professor Mark Solms, world-renowned neuro-psychoanalyst will give a fascinating talk entitled “The emotions of the brain” – a topic which is sure to resonate with most women! How many emotions are there? What are they for? Why for example do we feel scared, sad or angry? In this talk, Mark Solms will explain the biological origins of human emotions and tell us what brain science is now teaching us about their origins and functions. It turns out that, in this respect at least, we humans are not that different from other animals.

Upon arrival at 9am you will be treated to coffee and tea, with muffins and scones served with cheese, cream and preserves. The talk will be followed by a full English breakfast.
